<p class="Estilo4"><font size="5">SINOPSIS</font></p>
<p align="justify" class="Estilo4"><em>Apnea. Territorio Mar-&iacute;ntimo</em> is an installation consisting of a video projection and seven volumetric objects formed by a base and a telephone made of plaster. Each object, has an audio device, by which it can be listen the voice of people narrating small fragments taken from diaries written by the creator of Apnea, between 1985 and 1995. These are friends and family, that through their voices outline the identity of the writer of the diaries.</p>
<p align="justify" class="Estilo4">The video projection shows the artist in a beach, telling her personal details according to her legal/administrative situation as an immigrant. The idea is to confront two kinds of narration simultaneously about the same person. One of them focusing on the bureaucracy and the other on memory and identity tell by others.</p>
<p align="justify" class="Estilo4">This piece, made in 2008, is built in South America, specifically in Chile, country of birth of the creator of Apnea and where she travels to find the elements alive and documents that form this work.</p>

<p>A WORLD WITHOUT WORLD<br />

<p>Wooden columns appear on image, beginning of a house in construction, symbol of home and settling in a place, any place. The house, during the action, it is being built beam by beam. Once built, a strong gale wiped out the place, taking with it the house and the illusion.<br />
Culture and fake, reality and virtuality, daily life and fiction.<br />
Modifier of spaces, of time and distances&hellip; Reality has become a naked and vulnerable simulation of itself.</p>

<p>Dress as an executive, the artist is ready to work in an office desk, however, inside her briefcase; there are only sheets to iron. These sheets are her resume and while the artist iron them, from Asturias, the artist Vicente Pastor makes the action of the destruction of an installation symbolizing home.<br />
This action is a critique to the situation of many emigrants, which even though professionally prepared, do not find a job in the field they studied. In the case of the women, judgment goes further, alluding to the inequality and machismo in working activities.</p>

<p>This teleshared action makes reference to the relationship between memory and identity. In an evocative way, this work talks about personal memories; the ones that are shared and pass through the ones around us.</p>
<p>This piece proposes the existence of the individual in its context and its situation of belonging, as long as the ones around it can also account for the truthfulness of the memories and merits that the subject says are his.</p>

<p>Under the subject Migraciones para un sue&ntilde;o, this work reflects upon what gets lost of a person when it migrates and how, through memory, it looks itself in the middle of the anonymity, sometimes impotent.</p>
<p>This teleshared action could be considered an action-installation where the artist, Sara Malinarich, is present &ldquo;inside&rdquo; a computer screen, which is at the same time seated in a rocket chair. Behind the rocket chair, there is a projection where a video made by Vicente Pastor and Ernesto Garc&iacute;a can be seen. This video is being send at that moment via Internet through a videoconference system. The video shows a route made in one day of a life and works as a context to articulate the memories and wonderings that Sara gives to things and people that show in the video.</p>
<p>Sara is looking for herself in another, in the route of her action partners. The artist- also an emigrant in Spain- looks for herself, for the times she couldn&rsquo;t be sure of her past; the one that doesn&rsquo;t exist in the memory of the ones surrounding her at the moment. Alienated, Sara is looking for Sara, as if it was someone else.</p>

<p>&quot;Recovery of a painted memory&quot; is the document of a telematics action done by the artists Sara Malinarich (from Paris) and Mar&iacute;a Dom&iacute;nguez Alba (from Cuenca) through web cameras in real time. This video, divided in two screens, shows a teleshared action made between these two artists: in the upper part we see the scene produced in Paris and in the lower part the result of an intervention made simultaneously through software, of the same scene, made by Alexander Berthier at the time of the action.</p>

<p>This proposal shows a collaborative work where two artists in two different geographical locations meet on a digital base in real time. Using a videoconference system, the participants of this work appoint each other to meet at a certain time to make this experimentation.</p>
<p>None of them know what the other will do, but they observe each other in the screens and each of them gives the other a context to create. Like one dreaming the other. An action such as putting a clay mask on the face can have strange connotations when the other artist, from far away intervenes this act changing its meaning, however, this is reciprocal.</p>
<p>Somehow, delocalize scenarios and place them together in a digital platform means to get basic elements for a real communication or connection, like cognition and intuition. The challenge of any collaborative action is to be open to fragmentation, cloning and flowing for a time with no shape that is the flow of information in the Internet.</p>
<p>The ways of life in the net, the spaces for action and the ways of connecting through electricity assume our acts through light and we have the thought left about which is the real platform in a collaborative telematic action.</p>

<p>&quot;Blind date&quot; is a teleshared action, part of the INTACT project, proposed and directed by Sara Malinarich.<br />
This is a collaborative work between the artists Sara Malinarich and Aida Ma&ntilde;ez that makes a connection through Internet in which both artists meet for the first time. A relationship in the distance, that begins by working together.<br />
Naked in her home bathroom, in Cuenca, Spain, Sara Malinarich reveals her body through painting, while from Valencia, Aida Ma&ntilde;ez watches her, observes her and wants to touch her.<br />
Cita a ciegas incorporates in this action, the body of the artist as a medium for the other artist; whom, from a distance, is not a context but a part of her interlocutor in real time.<br />
Head and body, two artists fragmenting and traveling through the net to form a body, to complete each other, to communicate and create together in space, distance and at the same time.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The project of a Virtual Museum for the MIDE (The International Electrography Museum) was an assignment carried out by the director of said Museum-Centre in order to virtualizar the collection of works, so much the virtual as the works in opaque backup (physical).</p>
<p>
The development of a proposal of virtualizaci&oacute;n of work signified a formal and theoretical development to find a coherent demonstration in the Web of the works on physical backup and, on the other hand, a to articulate an interfaz that bore digital works and of net.art, without because of it leaving that said works to lose its sense. <p>After several experiences acquired in the use of sensors of different nature, the creators of this piece we have observed that the optic mice of the computer are sensitive to diverse sources of light, such as, solar, laser, infrared, electric, etc.&nbsp; This sensibility of the reader of the mouse is translated in spasmodic movements of the cursor, visible on the screen; this thanks to that any form of light that can cross the field of the own light of the reader of the mouse, is capable of altering the behavior of the cursor.&nbsp; Light against light, doing that an optic mouse can function like a sensor of light. &nbsp;</p>
<p>On this behavior and the reflection occurred of it is based this work:&nbsp; A multimedia installation where is possible to dispense with the human interface (direct handling) since this piece functions articulated by the light, in this case, solar. &nbsp;</p>
<p>As we know, the leader of the mouse is the indicator and coach of objects on the screen of a computer.&nbsp; They based on this form so relative to work with the computers, we have developed a formally artistic, specific programming, that is capable of unchaining behaviors such as sound, images as well as to give orders to an operating system only with the movement of the cursor (way roll-over) to represent and to develop multiple processes, without requiring that a person he manipulate he plots it. &nbsp;</p>
<p>This project, therefore, is a first stadium of artificial life.&nbsp; Project presented in the Festival of Art and Science, Symbiosis, Zone of Contact (2005). &nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;INSTALLATION-INTERFACE</p>
<p>The work has taken as the protagonist a cybernetic plant; a composed hybrid for fifty mice of done computer of plaster of Paris, accompanied by other three optic mice connected to so many more computers. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Each optic mouse is arranged toward the sun, on a base, its optical light looks to the sun.&nbsp; This crossing of lights does that the optical light react like a scanner and in this way &quot;reading&quot; to the sun, the cursor of the mouse espresso movements of unforeseeable paths, the ones that can be visualized on the screens of their respective computers.&nbsp; At the same time, each computer possesses a program created for this work.&nbsp; Said program, of audiovisual character&quot;, permits that the movements of the cursors unchain a series of behaviors and orders on a system that translates them in sonorous and graphic elements. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Photo. without. thesis is a work based on a simple technological language and accessible, without I engage, is structured to put in evidence the complex processes in relation to the natural life and the machines; a first stadium of artificial life where the spectators are found set against a computer that carries out processes without the human intervention. &nbsp;</p>
<p>REFLECTION:&nbsp; The relation of the man and the machine disappears in this installation.&nbsp; In this work, the machine been nourished of the nature, capturing it and transforming it.&nbsp; But in what other data are transformed the information that enters for the drives of the nature?&nbsp; It would be able to feel the nature or plots it nostalgia of the artist?&nbsp; More than one nature exists?&nbsp; This installation hybridizes plant us the life in relation to the new technologies, man postmoderno and the nature.&nbsp;</p>

This work is executed since a CDROM. The user perceives the automatic installation of its content. The program of installation acts as the others,<br />
being necessary to fill a small form which requests the serial number . In that moment and, given that this work is distributed in housekeepers copiesform and does not be registered, the work is executed, nevertheless a warning notifies that the application is a reproduction done not register:</p>
<p>Since this moment the multimedia work is transformed into a system of interfaces interconnected for the inquiry of the consequences of this warning. The printer connected al computer of the user prints a citation or court appearance. Inside the work the user can carry out you called telephone, to respond to the virtual offices or to seek its case in Internet.</p>

<p>
The projected face on a wall becomes invisible backup that is painted through a peripheral element -the light of the optic mouse- performing the shape of the appearance.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Remembering us to G. B. Shaw, the artist uses the mirror to see her face and the art to see her soul. <br />
Making up represents the impulse of hiding s Keeling. A wound in the soul, a chance to hide what inevitable can be felt through the reveling eyes. The wishing of self-convincement that circumstances around can change if it can be seen in any other way. It not about looking for a make up that improve her appearance, just a touch that gives color to life and a escape forward, a way of going out of the reality where she is in that moment. <br />
The procedure applied in this artwork would be more linked to the performance than to the processes of manipulation of the digital image.&nbsp; Nevertheless, the employed elements for their execution are used habitually in the digital creation.&nbsp; <br />
In this piece the artist decided not to interfere in the noises that are produced during the capture of the data that is transferred and registered digitally.</p>

<p>Luminisensor is a conceptual work of experimental character. A work-in-progress that carries out an action in the network.<br />

<p>Based on the work &ldquo;secret noise&rdquo;, Luminisensor is a hidden work, that apparently doesn&acute;t show more than its own curriculum vitae and which during its process of creation, will incorporate into itself the data of those electronic art organizations around the world in which is going to go being presented.<br />
In a society where a deep blindness effect operates, when the spectator&acute;s glance is hypersaturated; one doesn&acute;t know what is seen or what is being lost. What is shown of reality or what, helped by the technological extensions, is made virtual, by means of simulation; another part of reality lost.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Chiaroscuro is an multimedia interactive work with animations realized in virtual reality on a CDROM backup. A digital work where the spectator enters in a virtual and interactive experience.</p>
<p>Our current work explores a technology that tends to revoke the time and the space.&nbsp; In this context an idea can be proposed of&nbsp; general delocation.&nbsp; But the question is up to what point is able the art to be delocated or dislocated (Both words share the same root) &#8230;&nbsp; That carries us to the question of the virtual reality.&nbsp; An art that no longer is printed in a hardware because the Digital Art can be itself in no place, does not exist but that as emission and reception of a sign.&nbsp; Only in the feedback.&nbsp; The art of it was virtual is an art of the feedback.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A projection on the wall shows us in alive two liquids met in a container of crystal:&nbsp; Came and oil (articles of production of the town of High Rooms).&nbsp; By means of a system of leak, both substances go designing a mixed body with cell aspect.&nbsp;</p>

<p align="justify" class="Estilo2">By the room and on the same wall, fifty mice of plaster of Paris surround the projection trying that the assembly of the composition possess the aspect of an ovum in process of fertilization.&nbsp; </p>
<p>To a side of the space expositivo, a camera web connected to a monitor captures real-time to the assistant spectators to the sample.&nbsp; Said capture is produces by middle of an ascii codification program that tranforma the bodies of the spectators in characters of text.&nbsp; In this way, the spectator intervenes in the work and he is he splits active a representation that tries to symbolize in a graphic way and interactive a parallel between the genetic base of the life and the company of High Rooms (Huesca) as generators of life through the production of wine and oil.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Bio-emulsion is not only a metaphor of a vital process but also an intention of union of two concepts and worlds: potentiality and reality, love and tecnofilia, encounter and separation, artist and environment, trying to create thus a symbiotic union that articulate this proposal of work.&nbsp;</p>
